As I mentioned in our Crock Pot Ham and Cabbage post, we loveleft over ham recipesaround here. And we also love cabbage. So when I was thinking of agreat low carb recipeI could throw into my slow cooker I decided to convert ourCrock Pot Pork Chops and Cabbage recipeto a leftover ham recipe. This is the electric pressure cooker version and is still one of my favorite was to use up extra ham left over when we use one of ourwhole ham recipes. This recipe is perfect for any electric pressure cooker, be it an Instant Pot, Crock Pot Express or Ninja Foodi.

Ingredients
- 3 cups Ham cubed
- 1 small head cabbage chopped
- 1 cup chicken broth
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 stick butter
Instructions
Toss all ingredients into a 6 quart electric pressure cooker.
Set your unit to cook under high pressure for 10 minutes and natural release for 15 minutes before quick release.
Stir and serve with a slotted spoon.

I made this in my 6 quart ninja foodi. I pressure cooked on high for 10 minutes, 2 minutes natural release and then quick release. I’d say it was overdone. Still very delicious, but next time I think I’ll switch to 5-7 minutes high pressure and then quick release so I get more bite/crunch from the cabbage.
I used 1 cup of broth but it was pretty soupy. I wonder if I could use less because I’d prefer that. In this case we just drained off the excess broth until we got what we wanted.
I added some carrots and garlic. Also, I didn’t add any butter. The ham (which I had frozen) still had some of its cooking juices on it so I think that added some flavor and fat.
Truly, though, loved it and so, so simple.Reply

So easy and flavorful!!!! I had some leftover pork chops from last night and added them for good luck….the family was chow mode a enjoyed every mouth full.Reply

I made this exactly as the recipe stated. The flavor is good but the cabbage is complete mush. I will try again but cutting the PC time down to 5 minutes.Reply

Hi. I usually make my cabbage and ham with fresh green beans and cut potatoes. Would u suggest putting those in there with it all same time? Im worried they would get soggy?
